Does your dog trust you? A recent research proves that dogs form their own opinions based on how trustworthy a person is.
Dogs may not seem too smart when they start chasing their own tails, but in various ways, they are intelligent creatures. To be specific, they are very socially aware, both with other dogs and human beings. A lot of studies have shown that they can feel human emotions, in fact, they could differentiate between happy and angry faces.
Many studies shows that dogs also control how different people interact with their owners. In an experiment, dog owners asked people for help. Later, those people tried to give the dogs a treat. And the pets surprised us !
The dogs wouldn’t take a treat from the people who behaved badly or in a rude way towards their owners. They preferred to be fed by only helpful people.
“These results suggest that not only dogs are highly trained at understanding human behavior, but also they make decisions about the reliability of a human based on his kindness or helpfulness.”
Have you ever had a dog sitting and staring at you? If they look like they are judging you, your judgment might be correct.
Conclusion: So if you want a dog to love and trust you, be sure you are a kind & trustworthy person first! Otherwise, maybe consider a different pet choice.
