Drinking water while standing has no health benefits at all. It is believed that drinking in standing position causes the body to not absorb any sort of benefit from the water, as it flows down with a pressure through the esophagus to the lower stomach and consequently causes harm to the nearby areas. It also disturbs the entire digestive system.
Thus, you should avoid drinking water while standing.
